Two Favorites
I am absolutely in LOVE with Rafa Nadal! His amazing performance at Wimbledon this year made my summer!
When I first saw a leaked version of Shakira’s video “Gypsy” I about had a heart attack. How can one man be so gorgeous?! Amazing athlete, good person, incredible body… just wow!
I love Shakira too. She is THE international star! Shakira performed at the opening celebrations for the World Cup & I might even have a chance to see her in concert in October! She is fun, talented, and has such an amazing voice!
I heard Rafa went to South Africa to watch Spain WIN the World Cup!! My boyfriend was THRILLED Spain scored in the 116′
Espana Campeón!! First Time EVER!

World Cup Semi-Finals!
Uruguay v. Netherlands
Germany v. Spain
This is what it has come down to. The Dutch should have no problem against Uruguay, but Germany v. Spain should be a very good match. I am cheering for Espana (my boyfriend’s team) since all of mine are out. And, no matter who you cheer for, it’s hard not to acknowledge David Villa’s greatness (top goal scorer of World Cup 2010!).
However, I can’t even begin to express how sad and angry I am that my teams lost
It was a real blow to my heart. The refs have easily been the most frustrating part of the entire tournament. Their terrible calls have altered the outcome of this World Cup to the point that it almost feels fixed!
FIFA, in the future, you need to have stricter requirements when choosing refs! Matches should be won by the players on the pitch & NOT by the whims of some ridiculous ref.

ADVANCE!!
Yes!!!! I’m so incredibly excited right now!! U.S.A. is MOVING ON in the World Cup!
I swear, I’m going to have heart failure during a match someday. The score was 1-0 and the goal came from Donovan (Jozy pass) AFTER 90 min had passed! 91′ — GOOOOAAAALLLL!!!!
This means ALL three of my countries ADVANCE! South Korea yesterday, then England and U.S.A. today! I couldn’t be happier!

First Test!
Classes JUST started, but already we have a Chemistry test on Thursday. Hopefully, I’ll be able to squeeze in 4-5 hours of studying today, which isn’t bad at all.
My experience so far:
- Law School Studying = average 8 hours of studying a day
- Nursing Studying = average 2-3 hours of studying a day
P.S. South Korea = FIRST WIN OF WORLD CUP 2010!

A Great Day For The Beautiful Game
Today, all three of my teams will play! Korea at 4:30 A.M. and England v. USA at 11:30 A.M. I’ve decided to stay up all night! I’m so excited that I probably wouldn’t be able to sleep anyway.
Yesterday’s matches were quite a surprise for me. 1-1 South Africa v. Mexico (with South Africa making one of the most beautiful shots on goal I have seen in awhile) and 0-0 France v. Uruguay.
South Africa was surprisingly strong against Mexico and I couldn’t help but think of the movie Invictus because they are ranked so low and are now proving themselves to be true competitors. However, I HIGHLY doubt they will win… this honor could be going to Spain this year.

WORLD CUP 2010!!
Yes! It is finally here! All the world will be watching South Africa for the next month hoping and praying that their team wins.
Some people will support the team they think will win, but I think most will stay loyal to their country! Go Team USA! Actually, I support three teams. I was raised in the U.S. and I’ve lived in California most of my life, so of course they come first. But I’m also cheering for England because my dad is English and because I lived in Sussex for a short time. Finally, I was born in South Korea and I take a lot of pride in being Korean!
I’m so excited, in a few hours I will be watching the first match – South Africa v. Mexico!
